Part 1: 1984
Once upon a time, there was a mom who went to a Discovery Toys home party. She was a teacher at heart staying home with her two young children and ordering a few toys for her kids. I was there. That was my mom.

I remember making homemade playdough with my mom, using the Measure Up cups to make animal shapes in the dough, and washing my Barbies in the bathtub with the cups.
There was a puzzle game. I don’t remember its name, but I do remember feeling so smart matching the colors and shapes and playing it all the time.
Most of all I remember the music, the “Sounds Like Fun” Cassette tape. Apparently, I had difficulty falling asleep back then (PS Nothing has changed) so my mom played the music for me on my cassette player. Barbara’s voice was so peaceful and she sang me to sleep every time.
