I Just Got A Toy Microscope…What Should I Look At Next?

I want to look at everything from pond water to my own skin cells. I don’t know if it’s strong enough for that. I want to peer into the intricate details of a leaf and marvel at the tiny hairs on a bug’s leg. It feels like having a window into a secret world, and it’s absolutely fascinating.

To say I’ve always been a bit of a science geek would be an understatement. Read about me embracing that here. I love learning about the world around us, and I especially love sharing that love of learning with my kids. So, when I got my hands on Discovery Toys’ new kid-friendly microscope, I was beyond excited.

This little microscope is so fun! It’s lightweight and easy to use, making it perfect for kids (and me) of all ages. I’ve already spent hours exploring the microscopic world, and I’m amazed at what I’ve discovered. I have looked at oatmeal, coffee, dog hair, dryer lint… boring stuff. What next?
